640-816 is the exam code of Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2. The associated certifications are CCNA. It is a 75 minutes exam which contains 40-50 questions. English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Russian, Korean, French, and Portuguese are the languages available.
 
This exam tests a candidate's knowledge and skills required to successfully install, operate, and troubleshoot a small to medium size enterprise branch network.  The following topics are topics which likely to be included on the Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 exam:
 
1). Configure, verify and troubleshoot a switch with VLANs and interswitch communications
2). Implement an IP addressing scheme and IP Services to meet network requirements in a medium-size Enterprise branch office network
3). Configure and troubleshoot basic operation and routing on Cisco devices
4). Implement, verify, and troubleshoot NAT and ACLs in a medium-size Enterprise branch office network.
5). Implement and verify WAN links
 
Candidates have two methods to pass the CCNA certification: the first is to pass the 640-802 exam; the second is to pass these two exams: 640-822 ICND1 (CCENT) and 640-816 ICND2.
